Well it seems this journal shall cease to be only current-friend orientated with the creation of oddity_reading, a community created by a friend and I to share our thoughts on books with a wider public than that which views our private journals. Whether they want it or not.
So, perhaps I should say a little more about myself, and specifically about my reading tastes. I study literature and enjoy reading many books of that persuasion and have a particular love of poetry. Saying that however does not mean that I limit my reading to those two areas and I have been known to dabble frequently in the fantasy and science-fiction genres, along with many forays in the "general" fiction direction. I also study sociology, so read in those kinds of areas as well. Whether reviews of those kinds of books will be put up on oddity_reading though remains to be seen.

Friending policy:
Most of the people on my friends list are those I know outside of lj but I am not adverse to adding new ones. Even so there will be a few posts locked to you, such as latest contact information (I travel frequently) or links to videos of me falling over ice-skating while in Geneva. Neither of which I think needs to made public :)
